RESTART on an inspiring journey: Post Mining Network workshops

The workshops organized at the beginning of September 2023 by Post Mining Network were an opportunity to present the RESTART project, in particular, the research subject from Poland - the Liban Quarry. The presentation took place in the form of a post-mining grid, which is also a basis for discussion and exchange of experiences. An important part of the workshops were study visits and meetings with people directly involved in the revitalization projects of mining towns, mines, steelworks and workers' settlements in the French Nord and Pas-de-Calais mining basin, as well as in the Belgian mining basin. The new functions of post-industrial facilities include museums, tourism, culture, etc.

The workshops, organized by Beatrice Mariolle and Margarita Dekina from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture et de Paysage in Lille, were attended by Ass. prof. Anna Ostręga (AGH) on behalf of the RESTART project.
